Meet Nakia Durant, a resident DC Fashionista with a passion for blogging and a calling for unique style. She is the mastermind behind "Vogue and Vintage," a blog dedicated to all things chic and inspiring. Along with V&V, she is also the sole blogger for Precious Couture, a blog which represents kids fashion, and The Examiner.
Graduating from Marymount University in 2006 with a degree in Fashion Design, she then moved to New York and worked for Calvin Klein.
"I am an all time lover of vintage so I love classic fashion designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Madame Gres, Christina La Croix and Halston."- says Nakia.
After basking in a world wind in the fashion industry, she returned to her DC Hometown and is now honing in on her true passion: To be a designer. Nakia has style, ambition, flare, and is definitely someone to watch out for in 2011!
